Studylight is an AI tutor made by Argentic Labs ([REGISTERED ENTITY]). It explains ideas, asks you questions, marks your working and plans your revision. It is a study aid, not a teacher, an examiner or a source of professional advice.

• You need to be at least [MINIMUM AGE] years old.
• If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to our Privacy page for you before your account is created.
• Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

The full rules are on the Safety and usage page and are part of these terms. In short: use it to learn, do not use it to cheat or to harm anyone, and do not attack or overload it.

The tutor is a language model. It can explain something badly, mark working wrongly, or be confidently mistaken. Check important things against your textbook, your teacher and your exam board. We are not responsible for marks or grades you get. [CONFIRM WORDING WITH A LAWYER]

• What you write, sketch and upload stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it to run Studylight for you, including sending it to the AI provider listed on the Privacy page.
• Studylight itself, its design and its code belong to Argentic Labs. Maths rendering, graphs and fonts come from open or free tools under their own licences, and Graphs are powered by Desmos.

Studylight is free while it is in beta. If we add paid plans, we will tell you at least [30] days before anything you use today starts to cost money, and we will never charge you without asking first. [CONFIRM PRICING BEFORE LAUNCH]

You can delete your record or your account at any time in Settings. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we will say why unless the law stops us. We may change or end the service, and will give you notice and a chance to take your record with you where we can.

We do our best to keep Studylight running and accurate, but it is provided as it is, without promises that it will be uninterrupted or error free. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
